Swords, and Shields, and Dragons! Oh my!

We celebrated Ethan's 5th birthday party with a Knights and Dragons themed party!  He had a blast celebrating with family, school friends, and church friends.  We were all covered in dirt when it was all done - but everyone seemed to have a great time!  Here are a few pictures:

Party favors - shields, balloon swords, and "piƱata" helmets.

Fabulous cookies from Cupcake Kisses! (They matched the invitation perfectly!)

Even the big kids got in on the action (Uncle Charles)!

Little sister got her turn too -thanks to cousin Tara!

Clara Jane - 15 Months

Clara's 15 month checkup was today.  She weighed in at 23 lbs. and 6 oz. (75th percentile) and 31 1/2 inches long (80th percentile).

Waiting for her check up.

 Checking out the "fish".

After falling asleep in the car on the way home, she was still willing to help empty the dishwasher!

Check out my necklace from the treasure box at the doctor's office!

Back to School

Today we start another school year....me - teaching 9th grade Algebra, PAP Algebra, and PAP Geometry....and Ethan - off to Pre-K.

Not quite awake yet!

Tasty breakfast - courtesy of Daddy.

Check out those neon shoelaces.

Showing off the dinosaur backpack!

Sister wasn't quite ready to get up either.

All smiles with Daddy!

And Mommy!

So this Mommy had a few tears, but I did manage to get back to my car and out of the parking lot.  Speaking to a co-worker (who dropped off a student in Ethan's class and a 5th grader), it doesn't appear to get easier....just different worries.

Summer Vacation 2013

We traveled to Santa Rosa Beach, FL to spend a fabulous week on the beach.  My sister and her family, along with my mom, went with us.  Here are a few pictures:

Sharing snacks on the beach.

Glow Sticks are a lot of fun!

Can't swim with these flags flying!

Matching pjs.

Celebrating Grammy's birthday!

Ethan (PreK-3)

Here is a comparison of Ethan the 1st day and last day of PreK-3 at St. Boniface.  His teacher was Mrs. Gramlich and we all LOVE her!

It's not such a great place to take a picture in the morning in May (too sunny).  I'll have to pick a new spot for school pictures.

Turning the Big ONE!

We celebrated Clara's 1st Birthday with a party at home - All things PINK!

 The invitations!

One Year Stats:
20 lbs.
29 inches
Gets everywhere she wants to via the army crawl or all fours.  She can cruise along the furniture, but has not attempted to walk on her own.
Thinks Ethan is hilarious.
Will eat anything you put in front of her.
Food on your plate better be something she can eat, because she is sure going to try.

8, 9, 10, 11,....

8 Months - Trying to eat the sticker.

9 Months - I'll just hold it.

10 Months - Forget the sticker!
